Crystal Palace midfielder Hindolo Mustapha has withdrawn from Sierra Leone’s squad after sustaining an injury, ruling him out of Leone Stars’ double-header against Zimbabwe and Equatorial Guinea in the upcoming TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2027 qualifiers.

Mustapha has been replaced by Kallum Ceesay, who has received a late call-up as preparations continue for Leone Stars’ opening Group-stage fixtures against Zimbabwe on 24 September and Equatorial Guinea on 28 September 2026.

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has wished Hindolo Mustapha a speedy recovery and expressed hope that he will return to the pitch once he has fully recovered.
