Grass-roots sports administration and youth development in Sierra Leone are set for a major operational upgrade following a new international partnership between Support Sports in Sierra Leone and US IT firm Truconnected.

Announced today, the Sierra Leone Digital Inclusion Initiative will distribute 25 refurbished laptops to at least five local community-driven organizations, including youth development groups, women’s sports advocacy entities, and educational bodies, between October and December 2026.
Truconnected is supplying the tested hardware and fully financing international freight, administrative fees, and insurance. Support Sports in Sierra Leone will manage local customs clearance, vetting of donee institutions, and nationwide delivery.
The project aims to streamline administrative workflows, improve data management for athletic programs, and build digital literacy among hundreds of indirect beneficiaries, including students, coaches, and young athletes across the country.
